Easy Peanut Butter Mini Dog Treats
We're getting ready to welcome a new pup into our home, and you know what this means – LOTS and LOTS of training with treats. So I decided to experiment with making tiny, training-sized PB cookies in our silicone mat, and this recipe turned out perfectly!
Don't forget to check the list of ingredients on your peanut butter jar to make sure that it does not contain any xylitol, which is poisonous to dogs.
Note: I use these silicone baking mats for this recipe:
Ingredients
1/2 cup of unsalted, unsweetened peanut butter
2 eggs
2 tbsp of rice or tapioca flour
1/3 cup water
Prep time: 10 minutes
Cook time: 15 minutes
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F
2. Mix peanut butter, eggs and water together until smooth.
3. Add the rice or tapioca flour. Adjust the amount accordingly to achieve a pancake-like batter consistency.
4. Spread the batter evenly over the silicone baking mat. I use a dough scraper, but you can also use a butter knife.
5. Bake at 375°F for 15 minutes, or until the treats are a golden color.
Store the treats in the fridge for up to two weeks, or keep them in the freezer. Happy training!
